• What is the deposit policy? To secure your unforgettable experience, a 50 euro deposit is required at the time of booking.

How do I pay the balance? The remaining balance is paid in cash on the day of the trip. If you would like an invoice, please let us know ahead of time so we can have it ready for you.

Why cash? Because mobile coverage in Port Lligat can be unreliable, card machines often fail at the dock. We kindly ask that you bring the remaining balance in cash to ensure a smooth check-out after your voyage.

  • What if I need to reschedule or cancel? We understand that plans can change. You may reschedule or cancel your tour for a full refund of your deposit up to 7 days prior to your scheduled departure.

As we are a small, local operation with a single historic vessel, this notice allows us the opportunity to offer the time slot to other guests.

Because the slot has been reserved exclusively for you, cancellations or rescheduling requests made within less than 7 days of the trip are non-refundable and the full amount of the tour remains payable.

What happens if the weather is bad Safety is our priority. If the winds or sea conditions make it unsafe to sail, we will reschedule your trip with you. If we are unable to reschedule your trip, we will provide a full refund of your deposit directly to your payment card through our booking system.

  • What happens on the tour? Every voyage on Bellamar is a bespoke experience tailored to your rhythm and the day’s winds. After meeting your local skipper at Port Lligat, we set sail aboard our historic wooden boat to explore the rugged coastline of the Cap de Creus Natural Park. Depending on your preference and weather conditions, we can also navigate toward the center of Cadaqués to admire its iconic white architecture from the sea.

    Your voyage typically includes:

    • Welcome & Safety: Your skipper will provide a brief orientation and safety briefing to ensure you feel comfortable and secure before we set sail.

    • Coastal Exploration: We navigate secret coves and dramatic cliffs while your skipper shares local wildlife spots and insights into the landscapes that inspired Salvador Dalí.

    • Swimming & Snorkeling: We anchor in a beautiful spot loved by the locals for its crystal-clear waters allowing you time to swim or explore with our onboard snorkeling gear.

    • Relaxation & Refreshments: You can lounge on deck and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere out at sea. If you have selected premium add-ons, we will serve your local tapas and wine, or breakfast during our stops. Please note that for your safety and the well-being of all guests, the consumption of alcohol are always at the discretion of the skipper.

Our goal is to create a deep connection between you and the natural park’s coastline, leaving you with an unforgettable memory of our home.

  • Is the boat safe for all ages? Yes, our traditional boat is stable and well-maintained, making it safe and comfortable for everyone from toddlers to seniors.

What safety equipment is on board The boat is fully equipped with all legally required safety gear, including emergency communication tools.

Do we have to wear lifejackets Lifejackets for children and adults are available for everyone on board. While not mandatory for adults in calm conditions, they are available on request for your peace of mind.

What happens if the sea is rough? Our skipper monitors the winds and sea swells constantly. We will never sail if conditions are unsafe, and we will offer to reschedule or provide a full refund in the case of bad weather.

Is the skipper qualified? Absolutely. Your voyage is led by a professional, local skipper with extensive knowledge of the Cadaqués coastline and maritime safety protocols.

Are there any health restrictions While we strive to be inclusive, guests should be able to step on and off the boat with minimal assistance. If you have specific mobility concerns or severe allergies (especially regarding our food add-ons), please let us know at the time of booking.

What authority does the skipper have? For the safety of all guests and the boat, the skipper has the absolute discretion to cancel or end a voyage at any time if they deem a situation unsafe. Additionally, the service and consumption of alcohol on board are strictly at the discretion of the skipper.

  • Where do we meet? We are moored in the beautiful bay of Port Lligat, right in front of Salvador Dali’s house. Port Lligat is just a short distance from the center of Cadaqués. Here is a precise Google Maps link to the location of our boat.

Is there parking nearby? Yes, there is a large free parking lot located just off the beach of Port Lligat, only a 2-minute walk from our mooring. Here is the precise Google Maps link to the Portlligat car park.

What time should we arrive? To ensure we can depart on time and give you the full experience on the water, please aim to be at the meeting point 10 minutes before your scheduled voyage.

  • We recommend swimwear, towels, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. A light windproof layer is also a good idea in the evenings or in cooler weather, as it can feel colder on the water.

  • Are children welcome? Yes, of course! Our private trips are perfect for families, and children of all ages are welcome. Please note that children remain the responsibility of their parents or carers at all times while aboard the boat.

Do you provide lifejackets for children? Safety is our priority. Lifejackets for both children and adults are available at request for your peace of mind.

Can I bring my pet? Absolutely! Pets are also welcome on board to enjoy the voyage with you, and are the responsibility of carers at all times.
